Santi-Casa Berca

Located in the center of the village of El Limon at the intersection of the Samana and Las Terrenas/El Portillo roads, is Santi's Parada and Casa Berca Restaurant. Here you can book a horseback tour to the waterfalls of El Limon or to Playa Moron beach and enjoy some really good food from his authentic Dominican Specialties restaurant.

Magnificent Waterfalls

In addition to his outstanding food offerings, Santi's other attraction is a horseback tour from the village to the two waterfalls of El Limon. Most paradas will take you to the main waterfall with it's popular, natural-swimming pool, but his tour also visits the other, lesser-known waterfall as well.

Horseback Riding

Ride through the Dominican countryside and follow the stream to the first of the two 'falls. Marvel at the cold, clear water of the mountain stream and the lushness of the surrounding vegetation. Listen to the sounds: the birds in the forest, the breeze murmuring in the trees and the steady, sure-sounds of your horse's hoofs as he wends his way along the well-traveled path.

El Limon waterfall

Continue on to the main waterfall that plunges more than 100 feet over the rock face into the natural pool below. Then it's time for you to take the plunge with a refreshing dip in the local swimming hole before retracing your path and returning to the village and a leisurely lunch at the restaurant.

Fresh Food Menu

With a menu featuring generous proportions of real, mouth-watering local favorites such as chivo (goat), res (beef) and pollo (chicken) prepared criolla style in special sauces and served with salad, habichuelas (beans) and rice, fried platanos (plantains) and a soft drink, you're eatin' down-home, Dominican style. Also offered is sancocho, a Dominican stew of lip-smakin' proportions.

Local Cuisine

And Santi's features fresh seafood, too! Choose from such popular entrees such as pescado en salsa de coco (whole fish cooked in coconut sauce), cangrejo desmasado (crab), bacalao (salted fish), Samana Bay shrimp, lobster and arroz a la Cubana (Cuban rice). All entrees are served fully accompanied as described above.
