Karin & Ronald La Rancheta
On a piece of land that was once a jungle, a Belgian couple by the name of Karin and Ronald have developed a beautiful hidden retreat. This tropical refuge is less than a five minute walk to the most stunning beach on the North Coast of Dominican Republic, Playa Las Galeras. "La Rancheta" translates loosely as "The small ranch" in English, but it means more than this, as hospitality is offered to all the visitors no matter what nationality. Your hosts are fluent in English, Dutch, French and Spanish, to serve and assist you better in your stay.
Bungalow
Enclosed on property is a bungalow, and a building with 2 rooms for rent, all built in a tropical style.Bungalow has a double bed upstairs and a double bed dowstairs, could accommodate 4 people.It has a bathroom (rainwater) livingroom with library, fan, kitchen, terrace with hamac
and garden. The Bungalowrent from 35 euro/night to 45 euro/night depends of the lenght of stay.
Rooms
The rooms, each has 2 single beds (can be changed for a double bed), bathroom, fan, terrace with fridge and stove, garden access. A room cost 25 euro a night .
Included in the price are daily cleaning and drinking water the same for the bungalow.
People can have breakfast and or dinner at our place if they wish to, we serve meals in
the RANCHETA in the center of our garden.
Ronalds and Karin, have 8 horses and organise half day and full day excursions to the most beautiful places in the area (beaches, caves, panorama vieuw points, whales watching from the cost in winter etc.
Organise excursions are possible for beginners as well, Karin being a experience guide.
If you want to hike without a guide, Ronald could provide a quik map to the area.
