Hotel Atlantis
Located just a few steps from the beach in the shade of a lush, tropical grove resplendent with coconut palms and other native vegetation, Hotel Atlantis offers a special ambiance not found in many tourist accommodations. The charm of the property is evident in it's setting and architectural delights: nooks and crannies here, a marvelous old map on the wall there.

Completing the setting is a natural beach with beach chairs available for guests, a private children's playground and warm, placid waters safe for swimming.

Dining in the hotel's restaurant is under the watchful eye and culinary guidance of Gerard Prystasz, a well-known French chef and pupil of master chef, Gerard Boyer. Before coming to the Dominican Republic, Prystasz was chef to former-French President Francois Mitterand. Discover the delights of a particularly sumptuous and well-presented assortment of local foods, prepared to mouth-watering goodness with a touch of French cuisine. Dine in the coziness of the restaurant's indoor lounge-like setting, or dine on the outdoor terrace or even eat on the beach at a romantic table set for two; it's yours for the asking.

    A Tropical Eden

Although located just 10 minutes from the hustle and bustle of Las Terrenas, Hotel Atlantis is worlds apart from this popular tourist destination. Here you can rent a car, hire a taxi or explore the many boutiques and shops featuring native arts and crafts. Days are for shopping, exploring the countryside, visiting the many attractions the Samana Peninsula has to offer or just lazing on the beach. But the nights,… the nights are for the tropical rhythms of merengue, salsa or bachata! Many discos and salsa bars populate the village and cater to the Dominican's insatiable demand for music and dance. Other activities available include horseback riding, deep-sea fishing, snorkeling and SCUBA diving, wind surfing, sailing, whale-watching, tennis and excursions to waterfalls, caves and national parks.
